After a long and very difficult few months I finally received my thyroid meds last month and am my health is getting back on track. Unfortunately winter showing up overnight this year hit me much much harder than expected and I've been incapacitated and stuck in bed with a Hashimoto's flare the last couple weeks. It's just been a blur of brain fog, neuralgia, and nightmarish bone pain accompanied by goiter large enough to cause trouble swallowing. I'm not back at full speed yet, but I've been much better the last few days and in another week or two I'll be able to get on a course of steroids to knock the last of it out.
I'm scrambling now to get orders put together and out as I had a number of them I needed to remake a splint or two for and several that needed to be replaced. Between the lack of sleep and brain fog I managed to lose a day this week so wasn't able to get orders dropped off until today, which should get scanned in tomorrow (Monday at the latest) and have another huge batch going out Tuesday. As long as nothing else goes wrong (and I really need a break from things going wrong) I should be able to get everything running smoothly soon and return to normal processing times, which will be updated in the policies page once I get there. The goal is to have everything back in track for the new year.
I'm moving this weekend so next week may be a little iffy, but after that I should be able to drive reliably again and can get back to normal shipping schedules. It also means I'll be able to get packages scanned in at drop-off again as the employees there do their job, the post offices near me have outright refused to scan in shipments since moving here and its caused a ton of issues. Tracking has become less reliable and I've had increasing issues with labels not being recognized in the system which requires them to be voided and reprinted, and being unable to have them scanned at drop-off leads to them taking weeks to make their way back to my PO box. I've also temporarily removed the Priority Express option as there's been too many issues with the labels not scanning since they changed systems earlier this year, and it's caused considerable losses. I'll also be adding signature confirmation for the holiday season which should put an end to packages being marked delivered when they're not, according the the audits done by USPS a couple months ago more than 20% of packages were being marked delivered incorrectly. It was an absolute nightmare this spring and summer and I'm grateful they're putting a stop to it.
